I'm having a beer at 7:45 am because it's a 312 and I'm leaving Chicago today for 3 months.
You can always travel 1 of 2 ways: Pack light and be one of those casual-looking travelers. Or actually pack everything you want to pack, find a way to sneak it on the plane, and look like an idiot as you haul it around. I always opt for the second option. So right now I'm Stuff Magee.
I just ordered a 2nd beer 8 min before boarding. Considering all I had for breakfast was some granola and almond milk, I'm going on this flight with a little buzz, and that's good. Flying across the Pacific was one thing, but this time we've got the Atlantic, and I've seen Titanic and The Perfect Storm too many times. I'm no Castaway. If the plane goes in the water I'm gonna die.
Just boarded the plane. Normally boarding a flight is a pain, but it was pretty funny for me. I'm not gonna lie, I bumped into a lot of people on my way to my seat and I'm not sure if it was because of the luggage. The guy behind me was good natured though, we laughed a little.
Overall, the flight was smooth and easy. I sat next to a sweet old man from South Africa. I learned (after) my cab ride to the hotel that you aren't supposed to tip cab drivers. Whoops! There goes 4 pounds. I had a chicken pie something-or-other for dinner at the hotel and it was spectacular! I think I'm gonna love the food here.
